Environmental Politics | International Organizations | Institutional Design
I am a Ph.D. candidate in political science at Northern Arizona University. My research focuses on how political institutions address collective problems across domestic and international settings. At the domestic level, I examine the politics of environmental governance, including how citizens environmental preferences shapes government response, and why governments differ in policy adoption and implementation. At the international level, I study how international organizations coordinate responses to transboundary problems, particularly crises and environmental challenges. Across both levels, I seek to explain when political institutions can overcome competing interests and coordination problems to produce effective collective action. My research has appeared in Environmental Sociology and Politics & Policy.Â
